Sustainable Coffee for a Greener Tomorrow
Wilma Fox Child Development Centre is dedicated to creating solutions that protect the environment while uplifting local communities. Years of deforestation and habitat loss inspired us to take action—developing a project that not only restores the land but also sustains the people who depend on it.
The result is our sustainable coffee program, a community-driven initiative that empowers farmers, promotes conservation, and delivers premium Ugandan coffee to the world.
At Wilma Fox Child Development Centre, we're passionate about environmental conservation and community development. After witnessing widespread deforestation and habitat destruction, we sought a solution that would address the root cause of these issues. That's why we embarked on a mission to plant coffee, promoting sustainable livelihoods while conserving the environment.
Our Coffee Story
With invaluable guidance from the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization International, we launched a large-scale coffee planting program designed to address both environmental and social challenges. Local farmers were mobilized, trained, and supported to join our network.
Today, our program proudly works with over 1,500 farmers, producing more than 65,000 metric tonnes of high-quality coffee each season. Every bean harvested represents a step toward a greener, more sustainable future.
