A Blessing from Singapore: The Story of K Y Jek's Generosity
During my visit to Singapore, I had the privilege of attending a service at Barker Road Methodist Church. As a visitor from Uganda, I was warmly welcomed by the congregation. After the service, I had the opportunity to interact with some of the church members, including K Y Jek and his daughter. Their kindness and hospitality were evident when they offered me a ride from the church to my residence.
During the drive, we shared about my ministry at Wilma Fox Child Development Centre, and they showed genuine interest in the work we do. We exchanged numbers, and I didn't expect to hear from them again. However, a few days later, K Y Jek contacted me via WhatsApp, expressing his willingness to donate to our ministry. I was touched by his generosity and sent him our banking details.
To my surprise, he made an initial donation, which was a small but significant start. But that was just the beginning. Brother K Y Jek continued to send additional donations, step by step, as the project progressed. His consistent support and encouragement were a huge blessing to us.
With his donations, we were able to construct a new dormitory for our orphaned boys, which had been a pressing need for a long time. I asked him if we could use the funds for this purpose, and he graciously accepted. Although I was still in Singapore, I instructed my team to begin the construction work, and they worked tirelessly to complete the project.
Today, the new dormitory is ready, providing a safe and comfortable home for our orphaned boys. I am grateful to K Y Jek and his Family

for their kindness and support. Their generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of our children, and we are thankful for their partnership.
The story of K Y Jek's generosity is a testament to the power of faith and compassion. His small initial donation turned into a life-changing contribution, and his continued support has brought joy and hope to our children. We are grateful for his example and pray that others will be inspired by his selfless giving.
