The Story of How Our Coffee Planting Project Began
In October 2023, a simple but powerful conversation planted the seed for a dream that is now growing into a life-changing reality.
Our long-time friend and supporter, Nash Ignacio, reminded us that while generous hearts had kept the Wilma Fox Child Development Centre moving forward, the needs of orphans and vulnerable children continued to grow—and so did the importance of finding a sustainable source of income. Donations, though vital, could not always be relied upon. The children needed stability; they needed something that could stand the test of time.
As we talked and dreamed together, one idea rose to the surface: coffee.
Coffee is part of Uganda’s land, its culture, and its economic heartbeat. We knew that when coffee is well cared for, in just two to three years it begins to yield—year after year, season after season. It is a crop that rewards patience, dedication, and love. And we realized that this could be the answer we had been searching for.
With Nash’s generous support, this dream quickly began to take shape.
Today, we have almost 2 acres of coffee already planted, flourishing under careful attention and hope. But this is just the beginning. We have 23 more acres waiting to be planted. If all the land is fully developed and well cared for, then in just two to three years the Wilma Fox Child Development Centre will stand on its own feet—fully self-sustainable, able to meet the needs of the children without depending entirely on donations.
Every coffee seedling we plant brings us closer to that future. Each one represents stability. Each root represents resilience. Each future harvest represents a brighter, more secure life for the orphans and vulnerable children of Uganda.
Supporting our coffee planting project is more than giving—it is investing in a sustainable solution that will uplift generations.
Your support helps us grow a future where these children can thrive, dream, and rise above hardship.
Your support becomes part of a story that will continue for years to come.
Together, we are planting coffee.

Together, we are planting hope.
